Could anyone tell me the factory settings on my bike; like how many turns from totally closed on the near and far air mixture screws? Keep in mind this setting is at sea level in a mild climate. Also, I am sure there is a difference in the amount of turns of these screws because one carb feeds one valve and the other feeds two. Which one is which? If I turn the one with two valves - one revolution, how much should I turn the one with one valve? I guess I am looking for a ratio you could say. How bout some help.

There is no "EXACT" setting for the mixture screws since each carb is individually calibrated from the factory. I can offer some gereral advise on setting the screws though. From my experience, I would start with turning the left screw (as you are setting on the machine) out 2 turns and the right screw out 3 turns for a baseline.
Might I ask why you are adjusting the screws? Some type of trouble?

each one is individual so there is no 1 factory setting, unless you rejet with a dynojet/K&N kit (3 turns out on both), FYI your right carb is the bigger of the 2

As a matter of fact there is some type of trouble. As I get on the throttle, about midway it delays for about a half of a second then it kicks in. Sometimes it even backfires when it is not warm enough. Would this represent a lean condition?

The condition you described is more of the needles needing to be adjusted, not the air screws. I would raise the needles one notch. The left carb is the one that feeds one valve. The right carb feeds the other two valves. The carbs themselves are the same size, just different main jet sizes (right carb main jet one size larger).

a backfire is often the sign of a lean condition, I dont see any major mods in the description of your bike, so the needle position from the factory should be close to correct. you might want to make sure you dont have a loose carb boot or an air leak somewhere. if you have modified your intake and are still lean you may need to go up on the pilot jets, the transition from 1/4-->1/2 throttle can be affected by the pilots even though they really control the idle-1/4 throttle circuit. your carbs are actually a 32mm mikuni on the left and 33mm mikuni on the right, they should use the same pilots and needles only the mains are different
