Here's how to figure your ratios:

There are 128 oz. in a gallon and you want to mix at 40:1

128 divided by 40 equals 3.2 oz per gallon.

For a 5 Gallon gas can:

128 oz. times 5 equals 640 oz. divided by 40 equals 16 oz.

Like BMX10 said, get a ratio-rite cup. Use your brain for figuring better things like what will be your next engine mod. Save your ching and use plain old Polaris blue (yes that's the non-synthetic) mix it at 40:1, buy it in bulk from your dealer, and use the extra ching to buy what you figured out from the ratio-rite. You see, the world is one big circle....it's just that some spin faster when we chase our tails. (learned that from my Beagle)
