Does anyone know if honda is going to put the traxloc system on the rancher for the new year? I would buy one now if it had the 2wd/4wd option.

 

I'm holding back for the same thing. I had a dealer tell me they expect it on 2003 but I suspect it was just an educated guess. Some of them will tell ya what ya wanna hear, truth or not. It seems logical since they did it last year to the Foreman. Nice thing was, they didn't raise the price on the Foreman! When do 2003 models start rolling out?

 

I think they come out in July? Not sure though

 

Then ya start thinking..."If the new ones come out with the change, will they reduce the price on the old style to move it out like they do with cars?

 

Good thing you didn't get a 2002. They have been recalled, along with the 450, they say the wheels can fall off. New issue of ATV mag

 

Hey!!!...don't tell me thre's a recall on the 2002 Rancher....i bought one 4 days ago!!....i knew there was a recall on machines manufactured before October 2001, but thought that problem had been rectified on the 2002 models....have you any more info, or can you guide me to a site where i can find the necessary information....so far i have less than 1 km on my new bike, and if there's a recall, it's going back, for Honda must have known about it when I bought the bike, but conveniently forgot to tell me about it!!

 

Here are the only current recalls on ALL Honda ATVs and off road cycles.
Notice the dates...they are all November 2001 or older.

All the wheel related recalls have been adressed on any model sold within the last few months. Only owners with these machines purchased before the recall was issued should have them checked out.

Only a handful were actually found to be defective nationwide. [so far anyway]
