I ordered the HPD Trail pipe that comes with the correct jets, but i am thinking of getting the RCR air box mod. Will i also have to rejet after instaling that? I am very new to the 2 stroke and i don't want to fry my new engine because it's to lean. Thanks in advance.

Always error on the side of caution. More air in, means you'll need more fuel also....you are correct. The airbox mod Rick sells is great for maintaining mudding protection. If you don't do too much muddin', have you thought of removing the airbox and installing a cone K&N with a water repellent Outerwear? Lots of different avenues, just throwing out some suggestions. You can also modify, or remove the inner plenum.

Good Luck,
Ken Thompson

I was running a 250 main with the HPD pipe and recently had RCR bore my carb and send me the airbox mod, I went to a 280 after the mod and it seems spot on in my neck of the woods, It definetly flows alot more air with the RCR mod

You can do the air box mod yourself if you have a 3 inch piece of
2 1/2" PVC laying around. It will save you $35, if you already have a high flowing air filter.

Yeah I run a K&N and ordered the kit minus the filter for $15, He gives you an aluminum neck a extra venturi and the needed clamps and instructions, He even threw in a couple extra jets at no charge, Rick is a real class act
