HPD or HSP clutch kit?
#1
I pretty much made up my mind to get a full clutch kit for my next mod. I am going back and forth between one from HPD and Hot Seat Performance.
Are there any big differences between the two? As far as I have read about them...very little. The the price is almost the same too.
With HSP, you tell them what type of mods you have and they set you up with the right clutch kit.
With HPD, they have two versions of a complete clutch kit: one with stock engine/with pipe and one with stock engine/with pipe for aggressive riders or mod. engine. What is the difference here? I ride aggressive...but I want my Scrambler to still be ridable!!
What are your thoughts on this?

The HPD aggressive is an excellent choice, As far as componets it is likely both of there kits contents come from the same place, HPD has excellent service in my book, If you have any worries just give them a call and have them put a custom kit together for you, There aggressive kit though really kicks a$$ in my book, For my bike it is great, it is one of the few things ive done and been totally happy with from the start! The main difference with the kit and any causual trail riding you do is that the engagement is noticeably higher and in reverse you will not move with out pressing the limiter. Other than these two things [which I in no way consider problems] the package totally compliments there pipe

Todd, to disable the reverse rev limiter, disconnect the gray / red wire from the black box under the front piece with 3 wires coming out of it and tape them to prevent grounding out. Voila, as much speed as you need in reverse and you can look over your shoulder to see where you're going.
