I've got a 660 grizz. When I run it full throttle I will find about 2oz. of oil in my airbox. The dealer told me it's normal.
Oil level was not over full.
It is engine oil from the breather.
It makes a big mess and probably sucks oil through the airfilter washing dirt and oil into the engine.
This only happens at full throttle.
Have you guys seen this?

You are too full on oil, it only takes a little extra to get blown into the air box.My Wolverine will do it if I fill to manufacturers recommendations. Try it a couple of ounces less,if it ends up in the air box, then it was too full to begin with. I also have the rear end spit lube out the vent tube if I fill it up to the fill hole, like the book says. Seems to me they didn't run them full throttle at these levels at the factory,or they would see the blow out. Been running mine just under the recommended level for years, no problems. let the motor tell you want it needs, if it spits it out,its just too full.

Badfordman~

Sounds like wolvy knows what he's talking about. I run my Grizz WOT most the time, and have never had that happen to me.

If it does it every time you may have too much blow by, do a compression test & leak down to see if you need to re-ring it.

Are you sure it is not the extra air filter oil dripping off?

It will also spit oil out the breather if you run the engine at too high an rpm before the oil is completely warm.

Badfordman here,
Its definitely engine oil.
It might not do it if I dont fill the oil up to the full mark.(I havent tried that yet)
I hope its not blow-by, I only have 300 miles on it.
What else?

Everything that deals with pressure goes from high to low. My guess is that everything moving so fast in the crank creates an area of high pressure and the oil escapes out of the breather tube into an area with low pressure. Like your airbox which is pretty much a vaccum.
