A friend of mine owns a 400EX and he wants to add a brake light. Anyone have any information on how to do this and what components would need to be bought? Can you use the existing taillight?

Yes it can be done, you need to buy front and rear brake switches, and a socket and dual filament bulb. A GM part# socket works and you can use the exsisting housing, power comes from the black white wire.
