I could use some information on what tires to buy to replace my stock tires on my 02 Grizzly? I am leaning toward 26" tires. I don't want to go to 27's because I don't want to lose any hp. Does everyone just go with 12" tires all the way around? Also, I would like to keep my stock rims, I kind of like them. I have been looking at the Blackwaters, 589's, and the Gators. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I don't have a grizz yet, but when I do, I am going with either 26 or 27" 589's on C-series rims..a bout 550-600 on most sites.

I was going to go with the bearclaws, but decided if I didn't need super aggresive wheels, I could just throw my OEM's back on

I went with Gators, 26x10-12 front and 26x12-12 rear. I love these tires.

hey,
I bought the titan 589 mt tires on itp aluninum rims. they are 26 inch also.
the titans are nice tires, with gobs of traction, and are smooth at speeds above 5 mph. they clear real good at 26 in also. i would reccomend going with new rims too. so if it real dry out, or if you need service, you have the stockers for the shop or hi speed trail riding. i have pics of my tires being installed with the rims, and a small offset. the offset is ausome too. it makes the quad alot more stable than with stock. also you will notice that with 26 in, your quad will lift about 2 1/2 inchs!!!

Thanks for the replies. Does everyone seem to like to go a little slimmer in the front, and wider in the back? I am trying to figure out if I should go 26x10x12 in the front or stick with 26x12x12 all around?

I would not put the 12" tires on the front. It will be harder to turn with the wide tires on the front. I personally like to keep 25" tires on my GRIZ. I Have maxxis ALL Traks 25 8x12 front 25 10x12 rear. Also if you are getting new tires I would also get the new ITP C-series wheels. They look great and are very strong!

O.K. Here it is. Last night while riding I managed to get caught up in a barb wire fence and I ripped the sidewall out of one of my stock tires. I have to place an order on monday so any additional suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am leaning toward the ITP 589ms with the C-series rims. I am also considering the Gators with the same rim. I am seriously considering staying with the stock size. Also, does anyone know where I could get the black Magnum ITP rims? I like black rims, and the Magnum's are a lighter rim.
Thanks again.
