I had assumed the 450, but alot of people around here tell me that the rancher is faster than the 450....should be faster than my rancher anyway, which tops out at 45.

GreatCanadian, Check out Charley's site and go to New Products. Warn has a new product out called the Warn 424 Select. It was designed for Honda ATV's to be able to go from 2 WD to 4WD and it really isn't that expensive! Definitely getting one of those!

My '00 Foreman-S never went faster than 48 MPH. Most of the time it would top out at 46 MPH.

To my knowledge, the 450 will go a hair faster than the 350, but due to the gearing differences, weight, etc., a 350 will pretty much take a 450 in a drag without question. My neighbor's Rancher ES 4x4 (with a 1-ton winch) will take my friend's Foreman 450 ES (also with a 1-ton winch) in most any situation. I'm sure if you hooked up sleds to them, the Foreman would win... but how many people actually race while they're hauling stuff?

My rancher has the higher top end of 53 mph and the 450 will go 49 mph. THE 450 will accelerate faster than the rancher but it will eventually pass the 450. Karl

350X,

Really? That's interesting...
We traded off riders and the Rancher consistently won in a shorter drag race (and generally in the longer races, too... we were racing up a slight hill and neither were hitting top speed).

Of course, then I hopped on my Xplorer and beat both of them, but that's not exactly a fair race...

Suppose it just goes to show you that you can't really trust somebody else's drag results, because there will ALWAYS be an exception.

Default Speed- 450 or 350

Almost exactly the same top speed, my 2003 Foreman ES 47 MPH, my friends 2002 Rancher S 45 MPH we drag raced 3 times Rancher is locked in 4 wheel drive so I tried it both ways with mine 2x4 and 4x4 same results I could take him by 2-3 quads every time. We both weigh about the same and he is a little better rider.
