Well boys its another season and well I have a decent machine in all, and I'm not to shabby of a rider, but I dont stand a chance with some of the new rides in my neighborhood....

I'm a Skilled Trades Man and make some decent money and have a wonderful family, but I dont have 40,000 dollars to drop on my Fri. night toy like these parents do for there 17 yr olds.

I was just curious what some of the other tracks have popping up, and if anyone has any input on what there courses are doing for these machines....

Like Banning Them....
Seperate Classes.....
Pro Classes Only.....
ETC..................

These are the machines that showed up week 1
Needed Info:

3 KTM customs by Laeger and hauser
3-4 Custom 250R's
1 Yamaha of some sort (guy has been clocked doing over 111mph around town)

Well hope to hear from my fellow riders and good luck this season boys.

RedRocket19- Just because you cant afford one or dont want to build one that expensive doesnt mean they should be banned? I seriously doubt anyone has 40g in a MX quad also. My best suggestion is to ask the track owner to have a amateur and expert class.

111 mph uh.....

Here we go, a 111 mph quad would be a specialized drag only machine with racing slicks, not a bike like that could not run on an MX track. Research "Tall tales"

I wouldn't worry about any quad that can go 111 mph. On the MX track, you wouldn't even think about getting close to that fast and for a MX quad to reach those speeds, it would have to be geared so high that a stock 250ex would get the jump on it on the line. Also, I would never not race just because I think I'm gonna get stomped. My C-dale is completely stock (if you don't count nerfs, and # plates) and I have raced Shee's, R's, Ex's, Lt's, etc. that are modded like crazy and some of them beat me and some don't. Who cares? Go out there and just have fun.

Boys I'm sorry if I did not explain this better for you.

I'm not jealous at all of these man and machines, I actually enjoy watching these machines and I am a speed freak myself and have a Hot Rod that can make a quad look like its standing still. Thats Not It At All.

I have a local track near by that does not allow these quads do to reasons that Im not totally sure about but heard rumors.

I'm saying that they need a seperate class for them, were these boys can turn this mother out and roost some dirt, but right now there is just to much term oil with riders when these bikes run the Novice C class at my local track, but the kid used to be in Pro A or B class but he is trying to dial in this new bike and is still kicking everyones *** and bitchin if you pinch him off or bump on Hole Shot because his bike is worth more then Fort Knox. I'm still having fun boys!!!!!! Its other guys and problems like this that might change riding in my town if you know what I meen?????

Keep Building the custom rides boys and good luck this season to everyone....

This probley goes on at every track. When I started racing I had a bone stock 300 ex trying to run them guys down.If I could just come in second to last in a race I was happy. In 99 I got my first 400ex
boy things started changing. After 2 stock 400ex's and 3 years I was running in the top five in all of my races. Those guys on them high dollar quads started wondering wtf was going on.Now that I have been riding Cannondales for about 6 months im always one of the top contenders.I beleave them high dollar quads made me a better rider over the years, because I always had to ride way harder just to stay close to the leaders.
