Carb Adjustment Screw on Wolverine

Hey everyone,
I'm trying to adjust my carb, and never have tried it before so I'm unsure exactly where the "adjustment" screw is. I have a '99 Wolverine. I found one recessed screw on the bottom of the carb, but it's only accessible if you take the carb out. There is another screw on the side near the choke, anyone?

That screw on the bottom is the one you're looking for.You can adjust it with a screwdriver bit & a wrench.The one on the side is for idle speed.

Sorry but if you dont know what screw to turn, leave it alone. You will just cost yourself head aches and $$$ having to take it to the shop.
Exactly what is your problem that you need to adjust? Tell us your problem in some detail and maybe we can help...Oh also the screw in the bottom of the bowl is a drain, the screw on the side is the air screw for the idle or pilot circuit.

Hey Thumper, here is my problem:

Hey guys, still having some carb problem on my '99 Wolverine. Some of you helped me when I was trying to install the jet kit a few weeks ago. Well I got totally frustrated and decided to pay $65.00 to let the dealer adjust it for me. I had installed a Pro-Flo air-filter system (leaving the top of the airbox off) and a Dynojet kit. Well I picked it up last Friday and here are the results:
It has a nice increase in mid-range power and surprised me alot! I'm very impressed. I'm now eyeing the FMF Megamax muffler for it....anyhow it's still not running just right...for one thing it won't idle worth a crap. It's always been cold natured but even after riding for an hour it still won't idle and when it does it's very inconsistent. Now when I try to choke it(when it's cold) it better not be in gear because it will just take off without me even touching the gas! Is this normal? It didn't do this when it was stock. Another thing it was doing was when I was in a low RPM situation such as crossing a creek or tree or something sometimes it would lunge and the motor would skip, i know it sounds funny but it sounded like the motor was gasping for air, but it would only do it for about 3 seconds at a time and usually stall out.
so what should I do now? Take it back to the dealer and tell him to adjust it again? Or is this something I could easily check out? Any comments/criticisms/humor send away thanks!

The recessed screw on the bottom IS the pilot screw,the screw on the side {pointing down} below the cover is throttle return stop {idle speed}...Oh also the drain screw is the one above the drain tube.

Runnintaco do you know what size main jet they installed, is you air filter clean ??

They installed a 155 main jet. And yes the air filter is brand new so it's not a problem.

Me and Thumper have found that it will run best with the needle clip in the second groove from the top, a 147.5-150 main jet, stock pilot jet and stock setting on mixture screw, about 2 or 2 1/2 turns out from the seated position. Thisshould get you pretty close.
