I have a '99 Scrambler 500 4x4. My only mod is a K&N filter. I am looking at buying a new pipe and have narrowed it down to a SuperTrapp or White Brothers. They are about the same price (~$180) from Rocky Mountain ATV. I am interested more in torque over top speed. I don't want to lose speed but a higher speed is not a big concern. Will these pipes come with the jets I need?
Thanks.

I had a fmf mega max II on my scram 500, it should be about the same as the silencers you mentioned. I liked the fmf because it had a quiet core you could pop in or out along with the disks. FMF recomended a 160 main jet over the 155 stock. I picked up the 160 at my local dealer for about two dollars.

just a quick question about pipes. If you get a pipe for your quad, do you absolutly have to jet it? or is it like going home, puting the pipe on and riding it around? What other tasks should you do when you pipe your quad so it will run good?

The White Brothers you see in Rocky Mountain is just a silencer, no pipe. I have the silencer on my 500 and it sounds incredible. It gave me a noticiable power increase throughout the powerband. The pipe change on your 500 isn't going to shift your powerband like it would on a 2-stroke.

My understanding is ..........
If you get a pipe and dont have to jet
its useless
