I rolled up today to pick up the Mag325 from a warranty repair. I had my Z400 on the trailer and the delaer started talking to me about it. Then he mentioned that he is allowed to give out word on the new Polaris sport quad as of like yesterday. He didn't say too much from what we already have heard. 500cc's. Said it totally kills the Raptor. Tubular aluminum frame. The one thing that got me is that he and his sales guy both told me 330 lbs. Both conversations were separate too. Anyway, I think they must be off there. I don't know how you could shave 50 lbs off my Z without using 100% titanium. I think they must be using that real expensive alloy, Unobtanium. Anyway, he was really cool. I get to test ride everything there so I know I'll get a ride right off as soon as he gets an Extreme. He let me take out a brand new trail blazer. Man, I love 2 strokes. The sound, the smell. That ride reminded me of 15 years ago when I used to have a snowmobile back in upstate NY.

I guess they'll take their turn near the top. Not like they can't do it. I think they can and they jsut need to go out and do it. They make good sleds and watercraft so it's time to get the quads up to date too.
The dealer also told me he might like to tinker with my quad. I asked is this some sort of sponsorship thing and he said yes. Then he got a little happy and said he'd dump one of those 800CC two stroke sled engines in my Scramlber. Ohhhhh that would be killer. I might try it. Wonder if the tranny hooks up to it....

I think it might. I sorta know a guy from a common riding area in Colorado. This Memorial day weekend he was running around the sand hills with a 700 RMK motor in his 400 scrambler chassis, 4x4 still functional. That sucker could climb!

The only thing that connects the tranny to the engine is a belt.
