looking at buying a 300 bayou 4x4 , is there any problems with them? The one I'm looking at would likely have less than 1000 mile , I know the guy who is selling it , uses it for a bit of hunting and that's it , it rides smoother than I thought it would . Will likely be doing some trail riding as well as farm work with it . Any replies welcome , Thank you 1

 

I had a 98 bayou 300 2wd since it was new until march '02. Was is it tough? Hell yeah! Did it give any problem? Hell no!The Kawi 290cc motor is old school but tough,proven and very reliable with proper care.A little over 4 yrs old and the only things I had to replace or fix where tires, plugs,fluids,lights and filters.The bayou was in a wreck with me one night after I had been deer hunting.Some guy decided to to drive west in the eastbound lane and we collided. The deceased deer and the bayou flew out of the pick up bed. the deer was no longer edible, but the bayou only had scratched plastic and a busted head light.Get it if the price is right and it suits your needs, they are tough machines.
