That's great guys - I'm sure everybody appreciates it. A picture is worth a thousand words.

 

FYI, Hightower and everyone else, I had the water pump shaft hardness tested and it averaged 55 RC on the Rockwell hardness c scale. Not too bad, I guess.

 

Since the shaft is so simple, I was gonna have a local shop make me one, but the heat-treating alone was gonna be more than the $12 the dealer charged me for one! Its surprising, some things the dealer rapes you on, and others aren't too bad.
