I recently took my DS (which i've had for about a month and a half) to a mx track and soon found out thats not what it was made for. I bottomed out the suspension pretty easy and because of the heavy front was sent over the handlebars and eventually sent the thing all the over upside-down. Some plastic mounts were bent and so was an a-arm. The handlebars were also a little screwed up and a tire was sliced. This is all fixed except for the front plastic was cracked. Instead of putting on the same thing again, I thought of changing the color to possibly black with some different stickers. Anyone have any ideas.

I still love the DS for trail-riding, as long as it stays on the ground.

i ride tracks all the time with my DS and i do agree it is NOT a mx bike. My boys with 400's c-dale's and shee will wreck me. i never bottomed her out, and i can launch her pretty good and will say it jumps better than my old warrior

I will not agree with ether of you guys, the ds is great for tracks, I know a guy that owns a track and I always go there and he got 2nd place over all in Wisconsin for mx using a ds. Now he has a z-400 Dont know how good he is doing now.
Why dont you tighten your suspension?
Also you can buy plastics from bombardier, I think for the very back fender and the front fender it is about $120.

The DS handles much differently than most other bikes, but that doesn't mean it can't do the same stuff - you just gotta know your bike. I recommend the site below - its a lot of fun to watch!!
Best DS jumpin' you've seen
