I've taken my griz on 3 trips and logged only 700 miles and my air filter is starting to fall apart. I cleaned it after each trip and this being its third cleaning I noticed that the foam on the filter element is falling apart. I do not want to go to an aftermarket filter, I was wondering if the mineral spirits I used to clean it is the culprit. In the manual it says to use parts cleaner. In my 01 Kodiak manual it says to use mineral spirits, does anybody have any suggestions?

 

Get a K&N with an outerwear and use the K&N recharge kit. It will last alot longer then the stock one, work better then the stock one, and you'll allow more air in.
