does anyone else here think the rincon is ugly?

Ugly? Yes. Worth that much, don't know yet, I have not seen one in action, so I have no idea what the fancy tranny can do. Obviously more R&D went into it then some other ATVs, so that might jack the price some.
However, I hated shelling out the $6500 OTD for my 650, so I am offended at the price regardless.

ATV Action wrote a review on it. Like most of thier other quads, they gave it 5 stars to keep thier advertiser happy. Can't risk those advertising bucks on truthful reviews, can ya?
My favorite part of the review was they said it was "highly likely" it was the fastest of all open class machines, but they were not sure as Honda did not have any other quads out there for side by side comparisons. It would seem to me if you built the fastest quads out there, you would have the competition out there to compare and prove it.
Anyway, I will never second guess my choice on the Prarie. Only way I will ever buy another is if Kawi significantly improves the P650.

Not so much worried about the ugly factor as the durability factor,a big hunk of plastic up front is not going to last long if a quad is ridden on rough trails or bumped up against hard objects. A nice, thick tube bumper would have looked better, and been very funtional.VERY disapointed about the drum brakes, yes,Honda seals them well, but a powerful quad needs the grabbing power of better than drums. Overall, the design is good, but the packaging should have been run by different groups of perspective riders to get a better feel for the best plastic set up for a new quad. Also a bit shocked on the price, soon you will be making car-size payments just to trail ride !!!

A guy on another forum rode both the 650 and the rincon around, and he says the rincon does not even compete against the Prairie 650. It does not accelerate as quick and doesn't have tire turning power for mud, and does not feel as nimble in handling.
They also said it would do 56mph max ,WFO. WFO? Wide full out? Wide full open? I think I take that to mean full throttle on a long straight. They also said it would not go over 60 without a nitrous bottle.
They did say it was smooth. Probably has less transmission maintenance (so does my truck, but it isn't as fun to drive as my 650).
They never mentioned ride. Maybe it will be a first for honda if it has a good ride. They said it drove in the water every where the 650 went.
I am sure it has a lot of nice plusses.
