a question about kawasaki dirtbikes
#1
i am looking to buy a dirtbike and have narrowed it down to kx125 or kx250. i am 5'8 200 pounds, and have little experience w/ dirtbikes, but alot w/ quads. i want one w/ alot of power. which one should i get and what is the top speed on both?

don't get the 125, they were sooooooooooooo hard on cranks they ran outta them in Canada!! they might have fixed it for '03, but at the track everyone that had a KX125 said the cranks go very often!! so do the 100's and 80's. get the 250 if you want lots of power, on any 125 you have to use a lot of clutch work to keep the motor on the powerband. a 250 pulls hard with no clutch work. Trust me on this one....this is one thing that i know what i'm talking about!

Hey I am sorrry but I dont ride bikes so I can't answer your question, but I do have a question for you. I own a 99 prairie 300 4x2,(Ive been meaning to contact u 'bout this, cause ur the only person it seems on this forum that drives 4x2!) and was wondering if you had riding suggestions, I used to have 4x4, and 4x2 is so much different!!! It seems like I get stuck ever 3 seconds!!! Fortunately, I have a winch, so Its more an annoyance.
John
P.S. I would go for a 220cc.

hey JEO, i just go through the puddle at a normal speed, then if i start getting stuck, i rock back and forth as hard as i can to grab as much traction as the tires can grab, and start moving the handle bars from right to left to clear the mud out from in front of me to make it easier to push through the mud, and that usually pulls me out.
