Kawlaris...Looking for drag times on the P650...
#1
Hey Kawlaris:
I was reading a while ago when you posted some of your 125 yard times. I was looking for updates? A friend of mine is looking at buying a Raptor...I would like for him to entertain the Sport-ute as 4x4 is alot of fun. He want's a real kick in the pants...and a stock P650 isn't as quick as a raptor obiously. But I suggested ( after reading about people such as yourself modifying the P650 ) That a Lightly modded P650 can out-run a stock raptor or Z400 in a hundred yards. At least the times I've seen in mags by sport quads, are easily attainable...with bigger air intake, clutch springs,exhaust,air-filter and jetting...all told, not alot of money if you do the Exhaust yourself ala Nyroc. I have dragged a Raptor myself and lost by about 5 quad lengths over approx. 500ft. Can these mods make up that difference? Guy's on the Yami forum don't think so. I will do this stuff to my own over the winter so I can be ready for the spring when the sports come out to play.
