yes they did make a pilot. But nowadays they are very very expensive so unless you have a big pocket it's gonna be hard to get one. Yes it will pull a wheelie and spin tires etc. but I'm not sure about the top speed, the 350 odyssey does about 60 if that can help you guess,

Stock vs. stock, the Pilot has a little more top end than the FL350. When modified, the FL350 will rev much higher than the Pilot making it pull very hard out of the hole.

I know of a few people talking about selling their Pilots to get the new Drakart Extreme so there may be a few available soon. They will probably end up on eBay.

I remeber drooling over the Pilots when they first came out. I was in School and they were 5 or 6 grand. Anyway I would love to have one of those, they are expensive to buy now like megamax said. Good luck.

There seems to be a bit of variance in the top speed between many that I believe is based on how well it is dialed in. A stock 350 I had for my wife did 60, but I have heard 55 from a others. Most people did not relieve the exhaust port bridge or drill the lube/cooling holes in the piston for the bridge because it is not in the service manual. It was not done from the factory either. Not doing this results in a loss of power from piston drag on the bridge and blow by through the damage caused to the rings. It pretty much results in a seizure with a Wiseco piston before the motor is even broken in.

A 400 is a little faster on top end than a 350 stock to stock. Once modified, the 350 becomes the quicker machine. Mostly out of the hole due to it's short stroke making it rev quick. They both have the same bore (sort of, long explanation about recall on 350). The 350 also has very large transfer ports compared to the Pilot.

They are both very detuned from the factory. They came with 32mm carbs where a smaller displacement 250R at least came with a 34. A 35 on an otherwise stock machine makes quite a difference in power. The 350 only has 138 psi compression stock.

They were nice. Had good power and good speed around 55 to 60. Two of the guys that had them had no movement from the waist down. They were in wheel chairs. They would come over to ride with us and they were good riders. What made it nice was all the controls were by hand. They had straps to hold there legs down so they would not flop around. If it was not for the Pilot they never would of had off road fun like we do.

I have ridden with four different people that did not have the use of their legs and another who used to frequent this board from VA. I also know of guy who converted a Drakart Formula Cross to hand controls.
