Yamaha blaster questions? Help much appreciated
#1
OKay, so in my area a few people are selling their blasters, in great condition, for $400-$800. Now, I have an opportunity to get one for a great deal, but I have a few questions. this is also going to be my first 2 stroke so its probably only temporary. I'm 6'2" over 210lbs. Now i know i may feel "cramped" but would the weight be too much for the atv? Right now I have a Bayou 220 and I don't really mind the size, i'm pretty strong and i personally like riding smaller atv's, i just think its alot funner and i love being able to "manhandle" them lol. and i've rode some even smaller, a 110, and didn't even mind it. All i want to know is, would I ruin the atv or would it be able to handle me? Also, I wouldn't really be doing huge jumps or anything. maybe drag racing with my buddies or doing some trail riding and small hill climbs......nothing extreme...just playing around. And if i ever feel it's underpowered, i know a few places i could get it modded very easily. thanks in advance guys

The suspension is upgrade-able, but the cost of it is way out of line in my opinion. But whoever has the money can do it. Engine mods are available as bolt on.... I'll recommend some better rear wheels/tires than the bike comes with. I have raptor 660 rear hubs (direct fit) and the raptor 660 dunlop tires (yeah,.. the ones the raptor comes with factory) and the will eat some dirt up eally nice, and they allow some good sliding, and they're holding up fair....

for the price u cant realy go wrong. im 6`2 mabwy 250 i owned one about 2 years back when i started drag racing and them little things will rip. id stick with the 2 stroke. i will never buy another 4 stroke in my life. once u get hooked to the 2 stroke power and snappyness u cant go back lol.
