Help. Have 86 250r that has been blowing the voltage regulator after about 5min of riding. Have lazer star lights grounded to frame, pops those when reg goes. I heard somewhere that this could be ground problem from case to frame, but dont know. Anybody ever deal with this problem? Thanks in advance.

You can try calling Ricky Stator.
Just don't tell him what kind of lights you have

I haven't had that particular problem because I don't use the lighting system however,at the beginning of the year I completely stripped down the frame to practically bare metal and painted it.I thought I did a really good and thourogh job but that only sealed my doom.
When I got it all back together it barely idled and wouldn't wind past like 6000rpm.It ended up being the slightly over coated paint not allowing a good ground. Also I should have put bolts in the frame holes to keep them bare.
Don't know if thats your problem but its a thought.

Think I got it, found poor connection at voltage reg causing the reg to go offline. Rewired and seems fine so far.
