Default Pro-Tect Skids

Well I finally got my pro-tect stainless skids on Friday. I will have to say the swing-arm skid is a work of art, I will post some pics tomorrow evening. Everything fit perfect, kind of sucks you have to remove the sprocket to remove/install the rear skid, but not really a big deal. I think I've got the first set that was produced, Dan said he was making 10 or so sets to take to the GNCC event this past weekend. Did anybody happen to pick a set up while at the race?

Thanks guys. Its really hard to believe that nobody has started modifying anything internal on these motors. I know there are some that have tried to port the heads and have failed and made less HP. I heard rumor that Cannondale lowered the compression on the '03's by a half point and picked up HP, go figure!

I have a mechanic that has been working on me to do a 507cc big bore with some head work on the machine. I'm just not sure if I what to be the first to try it. I'm going to have him at least do some head work and polish and port it but that big bore is still iffy.

Well that is a good question. The brake has a roller bearing that interfaces with the master cylinder and rolls instead slides(smoother). The other main function which I cannot take advantage of because of the hand guards is that the lever are spring loaded. So if you say fly over the handlebars or flip the quad it won't bend or break the lever. Definitely nice for the motorcross guys that may be breaking levers on a regular basis.
