Default Grips on a stock bar? What shoud I do?

I stopped over at Dennis Kirks to night and picked up a pair of gel grips. Got home. Tried peeling mine off then the end cap came off and I saw a bolt.. So I pulled it out and WAM the hole grip came off. and its got that funky no roll adapter in it! what the heck do I need to do put grips on the thing with out buying a new bar??? Can I put hand guards on???

take a hacksaw and cut the uneven part of the bars off and move the controls in a hair then glue the grips on like normal

I used foam grips which have an inner plastic sleeve that goes over the bar, meaning no modifications at all. I like the foam grips a lot better since I have bigger hands than average joe. The added benefit for people with 'average' sized hands, is that your hands don't cramp up as much. For $1.99 it's worth a try even if you don't really like them. Maybe you can fit whatever grips you do like over the plastic sleeve?
