DS Axle Bearing went out. Is this common.
#1
I did a search for anybody else who had an axle bearing go out, and I couldn't find any. Has anyone else had this go out? I know how to fix it, but this just seems kind of strange.
Thanks for the input.

i purchased my used in july, n like 2 weeks later my axle bearings went out (wat a great way 2 start out with a new quad eh?), since bombardier didn't put a grease fitting they can only last so long, especially if you ride in mud n water,

the bearings on the EX just went out a few weeks ago. like the bomb, there is no grease fitting, and there was barely any grease in the housing. there was some rust in there too. the bearings were completely ruined.
if their was a grease zerk so you could fill it up, i doubt there would be so much of a problem.

My axle nut was loose from the factory. This could have easily contributed to a quick demise of the bearings (had I left it that way).

i don't think you can put one on, i looked at how the chain tightener built in the axle carrier, and if you drill through one spot then if you tightened the chain the hole wouldn't line up n e more so no grease would get threw, this is just how it looked 2 me but i could b wrong
