put a K&N filter with an outerwear on it, and then take off the airbox lid.
Get it ported and polished, or get an aftermarket reed cage. I use the Boyeseen Rad Valve, and I like it.
If you want more bottom end power and can afford to run race gas (5 bucks a gallon) put a CR250 head gasket on it.
What type of riding do you do?

Thanks for replying. I mostly do recreational riding, dunes, and I've raced a couple of times. If I get ported and polished will I have to constantly rebuild it and would I have to buy a certain piston to match the ports. Also would you reccommend an FMF rad valve over the boyseen if could get it for 60 dollars, and would I have to replace it alot.

Porting does not require a special piston, but it usually does put more stress on the rings and such because there is more air flowing into the cylinder. Bottom line, yes, you will have to do more maintenance on your motor if you get it ported. How much maintenance just depends on how radical of a port job you do. Another downside to porting is that the motor becomes more sensitive to weather and elevation changes. You would have to pay more attention to your jetting, and that can be tough. for me, the guy who ported my motor is my mechanic and my race sponsor, so he takes care of my jetting for me. I also have a very aggressive port job, so I have to change jetting from morning to mid day, and then again for the afternoon sometimes. That is not always, but often enough. The port job did really increase the power of the motor though. It is much faster and stronger than before.
As for the FMF Ram Valve, I say go for it for that price. You should never need to replace the cage, and the reeds should last as long as any other reeds would.
If you do decide to go with porting, my mechanic does an awesome job for a lot less money than the big guys. Big guys, such as duncan, trinity, etc, do a little porting to make it a little faster. They do good work, but you pay top dollar for it. My mechanic does a great job, and can customize the job to what you want for less money than just about any one else. You would have to ship him the cylinder and tell him what you want. It is a littyle scary to send your cylinder to a little guy, but you will get a better job for less money. Let me know if you want to get in touch with him.

Thanks alot for helping me through this situation. I learned alot from you. My dad doesnt think it is such a good Idea to get it ported yet. He says to do some other stuff to it and if i really need it he will send it to your mechanic.
