IS THE K&N POWER KIT WORTH IT?
#1
I was thinking about getting a K&N POWER KIT on my raptor 660r Includes DynoJet Carburetor jet kit, K&N airfilter, K&N precharger, K&N oil filter.
And cost up to $100 to $150...................IS IT WORTH IT???

The regular K&N filter just replaces the stock filter and is held in place by the same awful method as the stock filter. This does not give you a good reliable seal of the air filter because it uses the lid to hold the filter in place. There is always a chance that the filter is not completely set in the grove which holds it to seal the airbox.
The Proflow system mounts a billet aluminum plate to the inside of the airbox and the filter securely clamps to the plate. Giving you the peace of mind that the seal is correct. You can also run the airbox with the lid off.
The proflow system can be found at just about any atv shop and online at places like chaparral and rocky mountain atv. Check in Dirtwheels for the best prices.

I would get the Proflow kit, the dynojet kit and skip the K&N oilfilter. The Bosch 3300 oil filter is just as good and a whole lot cheaper. You can find it at any autoparts store.
