my new clutch kit ate my buttons

I just put a new clutch kit in and was wondering why it ate the buttons out of the secondary. If anyone could help, I would appreciate it.

my new clutch kit ate my buttons

I have a 2003 Scrambler 500. It has a Hot Seat Hypershift clutch kit with "i think" a 40/45 S helix and Hot Seat's white secondary spring.

This would be a good time to install HPD's ss button's.You can get them thru Ritter Cycle.
