Wife and I went out in the snow
#1
She loves here Christmas present, a 2001 Prairie 300! We went out for an hour and a half on our trails in the snow yesterday and had a blast! That 300 is quite a machine. She went everywhere I did on my 650 and she was right with me the whole way. Now we were not trying to set any land speed records or anything, but we went through some pretty deep snow and climbed some steep hills without much trouble. I have no reference for the stock tires performance, but if they can get through that stuff, how bad can they be? Interesting that she actually has wider tires on the back of the 300 than I do by an inch.

Tractoy, if you think your wheeler is awesome in the snow with the stock dunflops, wait till you get on a set of big, nasty, oversize, huge tread, rock chuckin, snow roostin, kick a$$ aftermarket skins on!! Those stockers are total crap compared to any of the aftermarket tires out there. Go riding with someone who has a set of aftermarkets on and take their ride for a rip. You'll be ordering a set the same day!!!

The 300 is a great machine. My parents bought a 400 and 300 soon after I bought my 650. My wife rode the 300 hard this last weekend and was very impressed. She likes the overall fit much better than the 650.
