I posted earlier this month about a Prairie 400 I was looking at buying. Although I didn't buy that one I did purchase a used 400 this week! I wanted to thank you guys for your input. It made the decision much easier for me to decide on.

Thanks
Rob M.

Glad to help also, I hardley ever see my name in lights. That was kinda neat. What year did you end up getting and how many miles on it? Is it a 4x4 or a 2wd?
You'll like it as should your wife (if my memory serves correctly- that's who it was purchased for?)

p.s. Mines a 99 bought late in 98 and I'm still on the stock battery!! keep the water level up and they'll last a long time.

I got a 2000 4X4 for me. Wrong guy about the wife. There was another fellow posting asking about one for his wife. It has 1520 miles on it. I got a really good deal due to the fact it was damaged and no one else would take a chance on it. I looked it over and could see no frame damage or anything else so I took a chance. The guy had cattle and got mad at one he couldn't round up so he charged it with the Prairie!!! I was kind of like "yeah right" but I actually found a cattle tag wedged in the frontend and it wasn't like something a person could do to make you believe it. Anyhow when I got it all apart to inspect for damage all found was the front bumper with the grill in it and lower guard was bent up. I got parts and Prairie for less than trade in value on KBB.com. It is the best starting ATV I have ever had!! I got it apart right now to replace those parts. They are to be in Monday and I can wait to go riding!! I appreciated yours and NYROC's comments as they helped me decide to chance it. When I get a digital camera I will try to post a pic.

Thanks Again
Rob M.
