Just wondered if anyone out there finds the reverse button on the Rancher or other hondas to be a pain. Well yesterday I folded the rubber back around the left side rear brake handle, pushed the reverse button down, and inserted a tiny piece of clothes pin in there. Just use the piece of the clothes pin that has the slot for the spring, and put the cable right in the grove. This little mod took about 45 seconds and I also did this on my Buddys 450. We both love it and if you don't, simply line the reverse button up with the hole, squeeze and presto the lille piece falls out it is the way it was. We found this especially nice when turning around on rough terrain and hilly areas when pushing down on that button can be a real pain.

I'm sure I'm going to get peeled for this one. To overide the reverse button just adjust the cable up until the button is engaged. Works for me. If you have a brain fart and shift down past neutral you just made a big boo boo. Make sure you come to a complete stop before shifting into reverse. Now all you experts can start beating on me for suggesting this adjustment. 350 rancher winch hi lifter skid plate muddin in Maine and lovin it.
