no spark on 01' Trailblazer
#1
hi,
i have an01' trailblazer and i could not get it to spark. I figured it was something in the wiring, so i pulled off all the plastics to inspect the wiring harness. After days of trying to figure out what was wrong i found that one of the wires that came out of the engine had been pinched between the frame and gas tank and grounded on the frame and was a little burnt. a little research and i found that it was the wire from the exiter that signaled the CDI unit when to fire the ignitionn coil. i used the continuity tester and the wire is fine. OK, that said could the wire being grounded have killed the CDI unit?
Thanks

Try un pluging the wire that goes to the kill switch and then see if it has spark. Because i have a 99 tb and about a year ago i had the same problem as you when i was ridding it just lost all of its spark.
and it turned out to be the wire that goes to the kill switch had some water between the conectors.
Hope this helps get you going again. By the way its the wire that goes to the kill switch on the handlebar and not the key switch.
