Polaris Dealers
#1
I'm fairly new to atving.com and enjoy reading the posts int the forums. I've noticed a number of posts about dealers not standing behind their machines very good, or having to travel quite a ways to a dealer they feel good about. My dealer grew out of a sideline dealership at a gas station to one that specializes in atvs. They sell Polaris products; atvs, watercraft, and Victory motorcycles; and Honda atvs.
They stand behind all there products real good and have a good shop that works on all brands of atvs.
Is my perception about a lot of the Polaris dealerships wrong or am I just fortunate to be int the right location?

No, all dealers are not bad. In Monroe NC is the best dealer I've found. They are some good guys and really know their stuff. Their website is www.ironhorsepolaris.com and www.ironhorsemc.com they have helped me a lot I also bought my harley from them. They are the cheepest dealer on parts I have found.

I agree with RoadKing94!
Ironhorse gave me good 'cash' prices for both my 400ex and my trailblazer. The one time I used their service dept for a 50 hour service, I dropped the bike off 10 minutes after I called to see when they could do a service. I ate breakfest in Monroe and picked the bike up soon after. This was my 1st positive experience from any dealer.
I dealt with Ron Heafner and would reccomend him to anyone (for atv's) (He did everything he promised,,,and quickly).
Its a small world afterall.
However generally speaking I have had more bad dealer experiences than good ones. I choose to do most of the maintenance myself,,,(and find that I do a much better job) this seems to keep the blood pressure down, (less conflict with sorry a$$ service depts).
Its hard for me to even give a dealer a chance anymore (thanks to the bad ones).
medicdave...Im glad you found you a good dealer. If they treat you good,,,,give them all your business!!!

In my experience it depends totally on the people. I used to get EXCELENT service from the people I bought my 700 from. The Parts/Service Manager quit and service went out the door. They seam like a Motorcycle dealer with at sideline in ATV's. Now I do my dealings in another town with ad ATV dealer that has a side line in motorcycles.

I don't think that dishonest dealers are just a polaris problem. I have been to several dealers of various brands and have found that half are dishonest or incompitent. The other half have been upfront, honest and very helpful. I finally have found a few dealerships which I trust. and they'll be seeeing more of me in the years to come.
