Service for Foreman bought at other dealer
#1
When I bought my Foreman, I went out of state in order to save over $1,000. Will I encounter any problems with my local Honda service center when I need service. I was told by the Dealer that I purchased from that some dearlers might give me a hard time because I didn't buy from them. Is this true? I'm getting close to my 20 hour initial service check and don't really want any problems. Any advice would be appreciated.

No you wont have a problem with the 20 hour check because you have to pay for it (about $120.00), why would they give you a hard time about taking your money. Now when it comes time (probably never) for warranty service that might be another question, I had a hard time with a local Dodge dealer doing warranty service on my truck, they told me they had a 2 week waiting period and that I had better have all my recipts from oil changes and coolant flushes or it would not be covered, so I went 20 miles out of my way to the dealer I bought it off of and they did the work in 2 days no questions asked.
The 20 hour check consists of 1.5 hours labor (valve clearence), oil, gear fluid, and cleaning spark plug and air filter thats it.

Thanks for the info. I did purchase a 42 month warranty but like you said, I don't think I will ever use it. Honda is very reliable and I just don't ride enough to put a lot of wear on it, and when I do ride, I ride easy on it. I hope to have it many years.
