I've read of some folks insulating the fuel lines and tank to prevent vapor loc and adding little computer cooling fans to cool the motor a bit more, and adding bigger main cooling fan . . . but is there a more difinitive factory or aftermarket fix for this problem? I REALLY want a Grizzly but the kind of slow moving hard use on hot days is exactly the kind of use it will get. I don't want to end up ruining the motor in a few years. I'd rather spend a few bucks on a nice oil cooling system or better fan set up or something. At the other extreme, how's it do in the extreme cold? When I want to plow the snow off the drive first thing in the morning, will the Griz oblige?
Lastly, I realize a big motor uses more fuel. How far/long can one expect to ride on a tank?
Thanks a ton,
Matt.

The Griz can be fixed where there is very little heat coming from the motor. But in stock form it does its job great except for very hi temps. Its really not as bad as every one puts it out to be. In the winter, we have temps as low as about 10 15 degrees. The Griz with the chock applied will crank up every time and warm up very quickly. I usually us the half choke. Fuel wise the Griz has a big gas tank (5.1 Gallons) that allows it to go great distances. Usually 80 to 90 miles on my tank. It does have a big motor and does suck gas but not very bad. Its a great machine and I recomend it to any body that can handle a MONSTER.

MonsterGrizzly, hoped you'd reply. You say I can fix it so that the engine heat isn't a problem . . . so what are your two top engine heat reducing tips? I've decided to buy the Grizzly and want to nip this problem in the bud at the start. Also, I notice you're gonna put in a 730cc bore kit . . . sounds Monstrous!! What's it cost/invovle mechanically? Pointless to do it without other mods? Thanks for your tips on the overheating issue. M.

Stupid computer posted my post 2 or 3 times. Well the two unexpensive things you can do to the Girz is buy a bigger fan and allow the fan to be turned on automaticly by installing a switch. It shouldn't cost to much for the switch but for the bigger fan it can be bought for about $50-100. But it WILL allow your griz to run alot cooler. There are many other things you can do but if you want to know about them let me know. Right now the 730cc is new. So I can't find no information about how much it is. When I find out though it will probably clean out my wallet. With it on, adding more mods will make it even more badder than what it is. So if you want even more power you could install even more things. Any more info about these mods or about other cooling methods. Halla at me.
