next year i will be getting new atv it will probably be a shee however i am also considering a Z400. Just a few questions with pipes air filter jets and reeds how much hp would you have i will probably get toomeys and by then the t6s will be out, but say t5 kit herd a few different things would that give me in the 45-50 hp rating then besides tires whats the next best thing to do i will probably not get porting carbs and all the more expensive stuff to later so is there any other cheaper tricks and stuff you can do what is flywheel lightening i read some good stuff about that how much does that cost so what with the basics like pipes and stuff your lookin at 50hp is that true or am i off thanks guys for any info lata

You would probably be in that range. You can get an advance key for about $15-25 that will advance the timing and give you a few ponies.

Pipes are probably the biggest bang for the buck, then porting. You can have your head shaved for a few more ponies. Lightening the flywheel will let the engine rev a bit faster.

I would say it is fairly easy to get cheap horsepower out of the banshee. I think I am going to be aiming at the 70hp mark to make me happy. Not exactly sure which approach I am going to take yet.

Get the shee you will be happy.

Bat, is your crank lightened? If so, where did you have it done?

 

The biggest bang for the buck on the Banshee are these:
head shaved -.040. This ups your compression = Good
Lighten the flywheel= Revs out faster=Good
Degree key= Advances timing, usually =4(or you could buy a plate which is adjustable).

All this can be done for less that $150 bucks and hands down is the biggest bang for the buck out there on a banshee. YOu do these and pipes and whatnot, youll have a great running bansee.

Alky, nothing is lightened on my machine. Yet.

I have done nothing but bolt on stuff as of yet. But, I can get a real good deal on a hot rods 4mm stroker long rod crank, so I might be purchasing that.

Even if I keep it awhile, the price is pretty good.
