Hey guys,
I currently ride an '84 Honda 200ES...Well its a great trike and has lots of power but because of where I live and the really steep terrain and slopes it can be dangerous at times, and will roll over (like yesterday...lol). I need to get a fourwheeler for 2 reasons: More power, and Greater stability. I am looking into the mid sized sport quads like the Warrior, 300EX, Mojave, Etc. And i'm just wondering wich of those 3 have the best: reliability record, handling, most "modifiable", most fun to ride, and the best bang for the buck. I'm just gathering the pros and cons of these quads and then I will make my decition. I would appreciate any help, thanks.

Out of those three..... 300ex.....hands down. For performance, handling, and especially reliability. Hard to beat a good solid Honda.

Reliability?.....I had a Warrior that I ran hard and treated even worse... and the thing ran forever. My little brother just got a 300EX last year and its been back to the shop twice already.

As for fun....My honest opionion is, and this pains me to say LOL the 300ex is more fun to ride, Its well balanced and I can ride a wheelie on it for miles!!! (except for the times that I fall on my A$$)

As for the Mojave... Don't waste your time (this is an opinion of course) My cousin had one for about a month and sold it. They are very easy to tip over on a hill, and had a ton of problems with the way it ran.

If I were going to buy one I would most likely lean toward the 300ex slightly, but it would be a hard decision between it and the Warrior.

Good luck and Good riding!!!

Thanks for your feedback guys,
Sounds like the 300EX is a great quad. I've heard many good things about the Warrior too, though. I will keep in mind what you have said, now all I need is a little more cash and a nice priced 300EX to pop up in the ads.

Thanks again

I have had a Warrior for about 4 years now and it has ran great since the day I bought it new. I haven't been easy on it either: mud, water, snow, two fences(long story) have even used it to pull other quads. I have never had it to shop except once when I took it in to get it serviced then nothing was wrong I just wanted them to check everything. The 300EX isn't a bad quad either handles a little better than the Warrior and being that it weighs less jumps a little better too. Warning though reverse is a pain the the a** to engage so watch it!! As for the Mojave it ain't the best handling thing around and the suspension leaves a lot to be desired. The motor is very strong with the right mods done the right way to it. My brother has one and it modded with a Big Gun exhaust, dynojet jet kit and totally removed the air box system to mount the K&N right to the back of the carb and lastly he took the front sprocket off a Ninja 250 street bike and put it on his Mojave the Ninja's sprocket is one size bigger. His Mojave is really quick now he can keep up with my Warrior and sometimes outrun it!! Like I said the right mods done the right way makes a huge difference. Good Luck with your decision!!

Hi,
Just to let ya know 300ex's suck a$$. my cousin had one and i rolled it because i thought i was better than a blaster for climbing but i very very quickly realized it was no where near as good as the blaster and thats stock for stock. with the blaster's mods the blaster will kill a 300ex. i would go with the warrior cause my other friend had a warrior. the warrior is faster than the blaster stock for stock and it has reverse (300ex does to but i would never ever by one of those). i'm not sure about the majove, i have never been around one to know what there like. oh yeah and for reliabilty i would also go with the warrior. warrior also has good handling but i think the 300ex has better. what i have said about the 300ex is true it is no where even close to being a good hill climber and it lacks power. good luck on choosing.

Hey,
Thanks a bunch guys. I've found all your replys to be very helpfull. I too am leaning more towards the warrior. If one comes along and seems like a good buy I will probly nab it. Although I believe any quad would be way better than what I have now being an 84' Honda 200es. The front suspention on it is exstremely soft (too soft...) And it had no rear suspention. So like I said, I would definately be pleased with just about any quad right now, but I still am going for the warrior because I don't want to have to worry about getting another quad soon after I get my first one because of lack of power and handling. Again thanks for your help. One more thing, about the 400ex...Whats the cheapest you guys have seen these sell used...Like the '99-'00 models? Its a sweet quad and I sure wouldn't mind spending a little extra to get one. See ya
