I would like to thank the guys for their suggestions on my fan noise. It did turn out to be a bad fan motor though. You have to tear the sportsman down a ways to get to that little dude, but the engineering is such that it is pretty easy.

Glad you found the problem. The fan could have just quit and let you overheat. Always more expensive!
