Default extended warrantee worth buying?

I am going to buy a 2003 Sportsman 500 HO in the next week or two and was wondering if it would be worth it to buy the extended warrantee. The 4 wheeler will be used mostly in my farm & ranch operation and will see steady & hard use.

Hey farmeral, for your information you do not have to purchase the extended right away from polaris!!! You get a 6 month warranty with a new polaris atv. Also you can extend that coverage through polaris at any time during the first 5 months of ownership. After 5 months I believe polaris will not extend your warranty through polaris. Anyways I write to inform you to shop around for warranty's. I recently looked into an extened warranty for my predator through polaris and they want $468.00 for 2 years and $592.00 for a 3 year plan. I thought that was alittle high so I did some research and recieved some quotes for extended warranty's through warrantystop.com and warrantygold.com. The quote I got from warrantystop.com was much better than what polaris offers. I was quoted from warrantystop.com for 2 years coverage for $411.00, 3 years for $439.00, 4 years for $466.00, 5 years for 493.00 and 6 years for $600.00. The other quote was from warrantygold.com for 2 years $575.00, 3 years $587.00 and 3 years for 598.00. These quotes were for an atv with factory 6 month warranty intact. Hope this info helps.
