Default Bigger carb

Hello all I am looking for a bigger carb for my 96 trailblazer and was told the the mikuni vm34mm will work well. My question is can a vm34mm off of a banshee be rejetted to work on my trailblazer. If not where is a good place to start looking for one that would work. Thanks!!

Since the 250 is a piston port motor, I would try to get my hands on a flatslide first. The throttle response would be better. If not then a 34mm is a 34mm. Just have to jet for it.Bubba

I have a 34mm Mikuni carb off a scrambler. I think all of the Mikuni 34mm's would work you would just have to jet them correct. I did all of my mods at once and I didn't really know how big of a difference the carb made till I bolted up my stock just to see and it made a huge difference it will make it rev higher, quicker, and have more bottom-end. You will be very imperssed with the power from a larger carb. I have a AAEN pipe, milled head, bored 0.040 over, ported cylinder. In the 34mm carb I run a 220 main and a 45 pilot it works sweet.

I've got an HPD bored out 34mm carb in the shop. It's now 35.5mm with a UFO installed in the slide. The UFO smoothens out the air, and makes the carb perform like a flatslide. PM me if you're interested. Also have stock airbox (opened up inside) with a K&N/ and outerwear.

I used a 34mm off of a Scrammy but the jetting is tricky. You need to use parts from the 30mm and the 34mm to make it work right. It works really well but like bubba said look for a flatside or the one that modquad has works like a flatside. If you need help with the jetting I can tell you exactly what you need to do. Good luck on your search!!
