Own a Banshee & Prairie, what about Scrambler
#1
Hi, I would like to have your opinion one my situation:
I had a Banshee 2000 that I really liked but I didn't like doing trail riding with it because I was always getting stuck in mud hole.
Then I decided to get the Prairie because I though I would not get stuck any more with that kind of power.
But I didn't like it because I couldn't drive it like I was driving my Banshee in trail, it was too heavy and it was realy hard to keep on, on very fast trail riding.
Now I'm wondering if the Scrambler 4x4 will be a better ATV to drive like a banshee but not getting stuck in mud hole like the Prairie?
What kind of emotion should I look for when driving a Scrambler?
Is it more like a Banshee or more like a 4x4 ATV?
Is their any ATV that will drive like a Banshee but don't get stuck?
If anybody had the same decision to make what was your decision and where you happy with it?

Man it's hard to jump from something like a Banshee to a fast utility quad. Alot of people would tell you that a prairie should be good for that, but I would get the 4x4 scrambler 400. You can mod it easily and get very satisfying results. Either widening the scrammy about 2'' front and back, or just getting the optional springs and lowering it only an inch will make a huge difference. I rode my full trail modded bike in the mountains all day long and clearance was not a problem but the fun factor was up

I forgot to ask, do you have any friends or know anyone who has a scrambler or sport two or four wheel drive? That would give you a good idea before getting too deep into it. Your probably going to get very mixed feelings talking about ditching the Kaw and getting a Polaris.Bubba

You guys are saying that there will be nothing like the Banshee, I can believe that, even the RAptor,Z400 or Predator?
I do not have any friend with a scrambler, I never ride a Scrambler, I though the Scrambler would satisfy my disire of power and not getting stuck... But If their absolutly nothing like the Banshee.
Nothing to climb Hill, to jumb over small mud hole, wheelies like it, get the power feeling, nothing like the Banshee.
I will probably have to go for an other Banshee, Yes I was probably gettind stuck but you know what, I wasn't always in mud hole and when I wasn't, it was just an amazing machine to ride...
Or maybe I will try to shop for used Srambler, raptor or 400Ex I will then be able to try them and see what feeling they provide.

Seriously, shopping around to try and drive them all would be a great idea. All cowboy was meaning is that the Banshee in terms of power is hard to compete with, but they're not known as a good trail type quad for sure. Sounds like you need a quad with reverse for sure, and you need as much power as possible. How about the new kfx700 that's about to come out? It's just real hard to recommend anything because comparing a Banshee to a utility/trail quad is just apples to oranges.Bubba
