can someone tell me torque specs on scrambler 500 clutch
#1
i'm needing the specs for the 6 small bolts on the primary clutch.. i know the big bolt is 40lbs.. but the smaller ones i'm unsure of.. one site said 90 ft lbs.. and one said 90 in. lbs.. and i 'm thinking the 90ft. lbs would be WAY TOO MUCH....also i put in the hpd speed kit today and when i was test riding it i could hear a very little "chatter" in my clutch side.. i put it in neutral and reved and i can still hear it but not at idle.. any suggestions as to what this could be??i know i should have a manual but i just bought the quad day before yesterday and it didn't come with one.. it is a 2000
thanks in advance

Madcap, 15 inch pounds can be done with your fingers. The correct torque on the 6 primary clutch outer bolts are 90 inch pounds. DMSHEE, is the clutch cover rbiing the clutch in any way? Bubba

no actually it's not rubbing and doing great now.. i had to reseat the cover a few times because i couldn't get it in there perfect, but i've gotten it on straight now and with the hpd speed kit, it really woke it up... although i wish it had a little higher engagement.. but maybe later i'll change it... i'm just using it for leisure riding and i race hare scrambles.. so i'm hoping this is going to be a pretty good woods bike (besides the fact it weighs almost a ton) i really got out and rode trails today and i'm happy with it.. much better woods machine than my banshee..
thanks for the help guys.
