so whats the deal with the sportsman 500 or ho big bore? and what do u do about sending your engine off to get it done? also how much gain do u get on power speed etc. also what about reliability and overheating ? just wondering i havn't heard much about it

bored and stroked my 00 sp500 to 667cc did all myself but four stroke techdoes them too. I have 2000 mi on mine since mods . bore 100mm stroke 85mm uses 00 up honda xr650 piston ,(mod top), 45mm HSR pumper carb,+5mm bigger int/ex valves ported cyl. head ,custom exhaust (HO headpipe w good muffler probably would work fine though and bolt right on) also have cust cam/valvesprings still have stock radiator, but have one out of 700 am going to put in it mine has 12.4:1 comp. with head and gasket that is on it now.1st head was opened up to 44cc and had .055 thick gasket for 11.27:1 comp super unleaded friendly.just getting it going with new head ,trying another cust cam,1 pt more comp and xr piston wiseco off the shelf approx 100.00$ had cust arias in it before.new combination should be much better rode it a little but havent tuned it out yet already feels much better though.may req some race gas mixed in althogh I havent heard or seen any sign of detonationon pure super 93 yet.

 

so if u put in a big bore is its doable? ddo they send u all the stuff or do u still need to get it bored out etc?
