2002 motor in 2001 frame?

Will a 2002 motor work in a 2001 frame. Meaning will all the electrical etc match up? I know 2002 and later have rev limiters for reverse, will this be a problem? etc. TIA

The CDI's are diffrent, as long as you have the 02 CDI I think you'd be ok.
