i was at little sahara ok. ripping up the dunes when i lost 4th gear. thats right.....it will not pull in 4th anymore. when i shift to 4th it sounds like a rachet is spinning.....very loud racheting sound. 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th work perfect.

i am so very unhappy!!!! its going to the dealer on monday.

i remember somebody on here had a simular problem.

I think the other person, if its who i think your talking about, found out a bolt had come loose inside the tranny, and it was stopping the shifter from going into forth..a quick and LUCKY fix, if you ask me!

 

Sorry to hear about that Vilnrk, Hoover 650, thats 2 out of several thousand. Not to bad if you ask me.

 

just wait remeber the 01 rappy they werent out long a few started going nad then more and more.. and mayb the pred will be the same? idk.. it just makes honda look better and better

Hey vilnrk - sorry to hear about it man. Yea I checked the other guy with the same issue - it was just a bolt lodged in the gear case that locked out 4th and 5th gear. When the bolt was removed by the dealer the problem was gone. So sorry craptor owners - no tranny problems for the pred. One out of many thousand is a far cry from the 01 craptor tranny issues. And we are not even sure of the problem vilnrk has - It might not even be a tranny issue - so dont jump the gun craptor owners..

 

mine seems to "jump" in and out of 4th at certain times, but i had blamed it on powershifting.... did yours seem like that?

 

how many hrs you got on your pred? did it happen all at once or did it give you some warning?

 

Hey Vilnrk, I was sorry to see that happen to you. It was running great up to that point. I was impressed. Hope it's all a simple problem and is cheap, quick and easy to remedy.
