Default Who has the best sand tires?

I am thinking about taking the Predator out for a little dune action this summer and I wanted to know who makes the best tires for dune riding? I was checking out the Maxxis tires of the predator site and ran across this Test Crew contest, any one doing it?

put a set of extreme haulers on your predator. go for 10"x9" wheels, .190 with a 20" or 22" tire and 9-10 paddles. you will have to drop a tooth on the front to make it go, but when you do, you can kiss piped 4 strokes goodbye.

Well, I don't know about 9 or 10 paddles unless you are trying to go slower. 8 paddles would be plenty and offer a lot less drag than 9 or 10 paddles.

The tire size, type and number of paddles really depend on where you ride and how you ride.

Straight paddles hook better, V paddles slide/turn slightly better. 22" tires give more clearance and won't get stuck as easy, 20" tires will handle better but get stuck easier. Molded paddles last forever and are cheaper, vulcanized paddles like Haulers cost more and will not last as long if you run over hard pack but probably hook up a little better than molded paddles. More paddles really only slow you down on top speed but MAY give a little more traction. 8 paddles is ideal for up to about 60HP or so.
