Default Secondary clutch Questions

Is ther any Pre-load setting on a Polaris secondary (95 xplorer) as like in a Snowmobile....1/4 turn pass the towers and then lock the snap ring?

I have it in 2-2 with a red sp, and stock helix. Whwn I don't preload the spring it seem kind of weak...

Thanks.

Yes, it has to be pre-loaded. Turn it about a 1/3 turn and then put it back together. If the spring is weak when you turn it ccw, you did it wrong.

The best way to check your pre load is to go to Wal-Mart and Buy a Cheap Fish scale with a hook on the end and pull one side while you hold the other you should pull 12-13 lbs before the clutch starts to move then it set right!
