Polaris Trail Blazer 400, good buy?
#1
New here. Looking into buying a Polaris Trail Blazer 400. Would like info on Polaris quality and how it compares to other 400's? Like the idea of reverse and the auto works for wife to drive as well. Why not many magazines includ it in their test comparisons? Thank you.

All I can say is it a nice quad for a beginner. Very fast and easy to raise the front wheel. I started riding a quads and baught a Scramber 400 4x4 in 1998 and loved the quad, still own it. The only problems I had was the transmission is know for a bad seal that will leak, removed it replaced with high temp automotive grade silicon and works great, also, I broke the output shaft on the chain drive, but I am sure it was my fault for not tightening the chain. Still own the quad and my wife rides it now. started to hop it up, clutch setup, pipe, gearing, larger carb and the new trail blazer my buddy bought rips me off the line. the 80lbs less the trail blazer weighs makes a hue difference. I can catch him, but by then the race is done. Buy the quad, learn to ride and then upgrade to a sport quad. I run a Banshee know and still love to get on the scrambler and play.

You cant go wrong with any Polaris 400.Ride it stock until you get used to it then pipe and clutch it and run with any of the 400cc sport quads.stock they arent that fast but a pipe air filter and jet the carb along with a clutch kit from the manufacturer of the pipe and you have a screammer.

i agree, any polaris is a good buy. i have a 250 trail blazer and it has pletny of power and im sure the 400 will only be better. the only problem ive had with mine is the piston and rings.

I ride with a buddie with a TB250 and its had its share of problems but he has fun with it. It handles better than mine does. If the TB400 is as powerful as they say it should be very fun to ride.
