Flipped my brand new Rancher...
#1
Well, it didn't take long for it to happen. I was climbing a long hill and as I was climbing a steeper part it flipped backwards. The Rancher, and I rolled down the hill for 30 or 40 feet. Not a good thing, let me tell you.

Yea, I guess you could say i'm breaking it in. I don't know if the warranty covers it, I doubt it though. The front rack is shot, bent one of the rack mounts underneath the plastic, scratched my plastic all to hell, and when I say scratch's, I don't mean little scratch's, I mean deep painful looking gashes. Tore one of my Rancher stickers in half, bent the bars all the way down to the seat, but I fixed that already, knocked the rear right tire off the rim partially, scratched a quarter of the paint off my helmet, put some deep scratches in it too, cut and bruised my arm and body all up, its bad, but it could have been a lot worse. The part of the hill I flipped on was pretty steep, I don't know the exact angle measurement, but it was steep. I tell you what though, the Rancher is one tough son of a bit#*! The quad is in A-1 condition, besides the front rack and all the scratches and gashes. I rode it back to the truck and around for about 5 minutes and she ran great. I give 2 thumbs up for Honda's durability and stoutness.

I don't want to jinx myself, no crashes yet. I did have one close call on a steep hill climb there was cornice (a chunk off dirt sticking out) at the top, when I got to that part, there was almost no speed left, I thru my body against the handle bars to push the front end down & over. I am sure there were some stains left on my underwear after that.
Glad you weren't hurt. I like to here about the durability. I am ready to go riding this weekend!

I know what you mean. The pride thing sucks worse than the crash. I flipped my Foreman ove sideways on a hill. I was going up hill when all the sudden the trail stopped. So I tried to turn around, on the hill. Once she got sidways, with the wheels at full ****, it flopped over like a dead fish. It only tweeked the headlight and got a good laugh for the guys that I was riding with.

I too flipped my new RancherFM within about a month of getting it. Coming out of a ditch just a tad too steep, it rolled straight back on top of me. Both myself and the Rancher were lucky in that even though we landed on surge stone(large granite rocks) neither the bike or myself were seriously hurt. I just flipped it back over, cranked it up, and rode of with badly damaged pride and a few minor scratches.
